01 — Brief

Making the Invisible Visible

Ultrafab is a Brescia-based tech company specialising in Industrial IoT solutions. Their product — Bishop — is a proprietary operating system that connects industrial machinery, collects production data in real time, and enables remote control and predictive maintenance across factory floors.

The challenge: explain a complex, invisible technological system to non-technical audiences — factory owners, financial consultants, and industrial clients — through clear, compelling visual communication. Information design as a translation tool between engineers and decision-makers.

02 — The Infographics

Three Systems, One Visual Language

The series of infographics visualises how Bishop works across three scenarios: how interconnected industrial objects communicate, how data flows from machine to dashboard, and how the system integrates with existing factory infrastructure.

Each infographic uses a consistent visual language — flat illustration, a structured grid, and a clear colour-coded hierarchy — to make abstract data flows immediately readable. The goal was not decoration but comprehension: a client who sees these infographics should understand Bishop in under 60 seconds.

03 — The Result

Design as Communication Tool

Information design for industrial tech requires a precise balance: enough visual complexity to convey the sophistication of the system, enough clarity to make it immediately accessible. These infographics were used by Ultrafab in client presentations, on the website, and in commercial materials.
